Money Smart Week @ Your Library

ImageMoney Smart Week Wisconsin events in past years have been so successful that the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago partnered with the American Library Association to go national.  So to to coincide with National Financial Literacy Month, Money Smart Week will be celebrated nationally April 2-9, 2011. Nominations are open for the 2011 Standing Up for Rural Wisconsin Schools, Libraries, and Communities Award.

DPI is seeking nominations of "partnerships between and among schools, libraries, and communities that have resulted in programs or projects which demonstrate the great potential and spirit of rural Wisconsin."

How to Handle Toner Pirates & Other Scammers

ImageHave heard of the toner or ink scam where somebody sends you a cartridge for your printer, then tries to bill you an overpriced amount even though never ordered it? This scam has been around for years, but warnings bear repeating.
