Science & STEM Materials from NASA for SLP 2019 Activities

In the summer of 2019, libraries across the country will celebrate space exploration with their Summer Library Program (SLP) events. The slogan “A Universe of Stories” and theme of "space" was chosen by the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), and now CSLP and STAR Net are partnering to share science and technology-related resources.

1. STAR_Net has assembled a collection of  STEM activities and resources that include printable materials (PDF format), images, and webpages that your library can use for 2019 SLP events and activities.

2. If you want to receive SLP activity resource notifications and other news from STAR Net, you can register your library’s participation to receive their event newsletter. Registration benefits include:

  • Priority access to science materials from NASA and a variety of other sources
  • Automatic entry for chance to win 1 of 2 Orion StarBlast Telescopes
  • Library representation on STAR Net‘s “Year of Space” Map

STAR_Net is a production of the Space Science Institute's National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) in collaboration with the American Library Association, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and the Afterschool Alliance. Major funding is provided by the National Science Foundation, NASA, and the National Institutes of Health (SEPA).
